Dr. Jason Keifer, founder of Brain Health Hawaii, completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Southern California and his psychiatry residence at the University of California San Diego. He completed his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Keifer is board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry.

As a Clinical Professor at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, Dr. Keifer focuses on brain health and development, systems thinking, and outcome oriented treatments. As director of training seminars, he supervises medical residents and clinicians in techniques that involve a wide spectrum of childhood, adolescent, and adult conditions.

Dr. Keifer’s years of expertise in medicine as well as brain health and development, along with customized clinical assessment and personalized repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, has helped pro-athletes, business professions, veterans, and other community members achieve optimum brain health and high-level performance.

Anil Rama, M.D. is the founder of Sleep and Brain and serves as Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the Stanford Center for Sleep Sciences and Medicine. He is the recipient of the 2021 Stanford Distinguished Service Award, awarded to one clinical faculty member per year. He is the former Medical Director of Kaiser Permanente’s tertiary sleep medicine laboratory.

Dr. Rama is also an editorial board member of the Sleep Science and Practice Journal and has authored several book chapters and seminal peer-reviewed journal articles in sleep medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Rama is a lecturer for the Dental Sleep Medicine Mini-Residency at the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

In addition, Dr. Rama is on the medical advisory board for Fullpower®-AI. He has been an investigator in clinical trials for drugs or devices designed to improve sleep and contributed to stories in national newspapers, local news stations, wellness websites, and health newsletters.

Jennifer King, DO

Brain Health Hawaii welcomes Dr. King to our Kahala office

Dr. Jennifer King is a pediatric sports medicine physician at the Hawaii Pacific Health Bone & Joint Centers. She also sees patients at both Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children and Pali Momi Medical Center. She completed her pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey and her sports medicine fellowship at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

During her fellowship, King provided medical coverage for Rutgers University, Georgian Court University, and Holmdel High School, as well as coverage for the Olympic Development Program for Soccer and Little League Baseball.

King has a special interest in dance and performance medicine, injury prevention, and the female athlete. She has been practicing in Hawaii since 2008.
